This is my life's work. Over the past 27 years, I have attended over 4000 births as a midwife, doula, and birth assistant.

Today I am a seasoned midwife, lactation educator, and clinical director at The Birthing Inn, Tacoma’s premier free-standing birth center. I’ve recently added pregnancy consulting to my services and my goal is to help parents prepare for conception, choose a care provider, optimize their nutrition, and process birth stories.

I am known to my clients as a guiding voice who helps remind them to critically think, ask a lot of questions and to remember the phrase “Freedom of choice is based on knowledge of alternatives.”

I see myself as a preventionist. I believe that holistic preventive care is the foundation of transforming birth outcomes for parents and babies.
