Kate Wild, LM, CPM, MSM

Kate Wild's journey into the world of women's health ignited in 2012 when her son was born at home in Kingston, WA, under the care of a midwife. This experience illuminated the stark contrast between midwifery-led care and her daughter's hospital birth in 2007, compelling Kate to dedicate herself to community birth care. In 2021, she joyfully supported a family through surrogacy and welcomed a baby girl into the world at the Birthing Inn.

A true Pacific Northwest native, Kate earned a Master of Science in Midwifery from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA, after studying political science at the University of Washington, Tacoma. She sees midwifery as a powerful intersection of politics and women's health, offering a unique platform for informed decision-making in care. Kate's passion lies in empowering parents to reject conventional norms and actively shape their care journey for themselves and their families.

Known for her calm and reassuring presence, Kate is deeply committed to preserving the sanctity of birth, ensuring a gentle transition for babies entering the world. When not practicing midwifery, she finds solace in the mountains or by the beach, relishing meals with loved ones, or simply enjoying quiet moments at home with her partner, children, and pets.

Kate also takes her own primary clients. To reach out to Kate or arrange a Meet & Greet, drop a message at midwifekate@proton.me
